Like the name, this disc has natural turn. Innova Discs' Tern is a fast slightly understable disc that is designed for long flight shaping throws. In the hands of a powerful player, it just may be one of the farthest flying discs due to the long glide and natural turn. The Champion Tern flight numbers reflect a more stable flight.

Chris Sprague: The Tern is a long range driver with a great combination of distance and control. I like using it for long, downwind field shots and long anhyzers. At the end of its flight the Tern has a very unique lift that yields an increase in distance over my other long range drivers.

Champion line discs are usually a little firmer and more stable than the same model in other plastics. Whether used in heavily wooded situations, or on extremely rugged courses, Innova's Champion line plastic will continue to perform predictably and avoid damage better than any other plastic.
Innova’s Champion Glow line is based on Innova’s Champion line with the addition of a glow additive to make the discs glow in the dark. They are generally more grippy, gummy and opaque than regular Champion plastic. With the release of Innova’s upgraded glow formula January 2024 which offers a significant upgrade in terms of the brightness and longevity of its glow effect, Innova glow plastic is now known as Classic Glow or Proto Glow to distinguish between their glow discs made prior to January 2024 using their former glow formula and newer runs made with their updated glow formula.
